The bad news is, due to a series of unforeseeable events resulting in strategic shortcomings to our projected goals in design, implementation, printing, shipping, receiving, and continuing litigation, no decks of Bad Alibi playing cards ever made it to your gaming tables. For that, we are deeply sorry.

The good news is we here at Bad Alibi have developed a version you can play without a deck of Bad Alibi playing cards. We are so pleased to share these new game rules with you. You all are the real rockstars!

Bad Alibi no cards rules
1. On your turn, draw a blank index card from top of index card deck.
2. Write a challenge on the blank index card and return it to the top of the deck.
3. Draw the index card currently on the top of the deck.
4. Complete the challenge.
5. Keep index card for scoring.

I love the concept of "alibi" in larp design. It 's what lets you use a game as an excuse to act differently. This game is just the most heavily lampshaded alibi, plus a touch of comedy writing.

Play this with fellow weird game nerds who want to create fun with a wink and a nod. It's a very hard game not to break, which becomes the game itself. Lean hard into the fiction of your unavoidable challenges and have fun.
